What makes our house so special is the magnificent view from the kitchen with direct access to the garden with two great terraces on different levels. The first terrace also has a veranda and barbeque facilities.
The kitchen is well equipped with a big kitchen cooker. It will be fun to make diner here. Also the big living with it's wide gives special character to the house with it's high walls of original stones. It all gives a special atmosphere. During the evening you can relax on the big red bench with a good glass of wine. |

| detailed description of town and location: | The house is located about 30 km from Langres, an attractive town located high above the Marne river on the 'Plateau de Langres'. It was an old fortress, the ramparts, parts of which date back 2000 years, give the town an impressive skyline. It is well worth a visit as it boasts a number of beautiful houses dating from the Renaissance.
From the ramparts you can see The Four Lakes which accommodate many sport and leisure activities with special routes for hikers, horse riders and mountain bikers, and of course there are ample water sport facilities for sailing and fishing. A little further, just about 80 km away, is another beautiful and famous city, Dijon, the home of the Dukes of Burgundy. With its rich history and beautifully preserved streets and buildings it boasts a number of interesting museums and galleries. Around midi, enjoy an elaborate Burgundian lunch in one of may restaurants, the way the French do. The drive to Dijon, through the gorgeous hills and vales of Burgundy is, quite simply, spectacular. |
