This holiday accommodation is on a hill above the long sandy beaches of Pescoluse, also called "Maldive del Salento", nestled into a large, private olive grove. The view of the sea and the beautiful sunsets is unique. The location is particularly quiet and also airy, even at the height of summer. It is about five minutes by car to the beaches. There is no noise in the area, such as bars, pizzerias, traffic jams, mopeds and passers-by, which is unusual Italy near the sea.
The living space of around 35m² inside the centuries-old building provides a living room with a sleeping area above it on a wooden gallery under the characteristic stone dome. The 40m² outdoor area provides an open, roofed summer kitchen with a dining space, a bathroom and a large parking area. The living room has a TV corner with satellite TV, and two pull-out double sofa beds and an armchair bed for one person. Wooden stairs lead to the sleeping area on the wooden gallery with a double bed (160 x 190cm), just under the atmospheric stone dome. Outside under the shade of roofing there is the kitchen with a dining space and the adjoining bathroom. The kitchen includes a gas hob, a fridge with a freezer compartment, dish-washer, an espresso pot, a filter coffee machine, a microwave and a toaster. Next to the kitchen there is the dining space with a table and chairs. The bathroom next to it is fitted with a WC, a bidet, a washbasin, a shower cubicle and a washing machine. According to law, the bathroom had to be built outside. The whole outdoor area is well illuminated at night. Solar panels supply plenty of hot water.
Zou can find a sun-terrace with loungers, a stone barbecue, an outdoor-shower, a private parking in the outside. The children enjoy a lot of freedom in the large olive-grove. Pets are welcome.

The beaches direct under our property are long sandy beaches with wonderful very clean water and suited for little children. In the surrroundings you can find rocky coasts too.
The well known village of Santa Maria di Leuca is about 10 km away, and has shops, restaurants, pubs and discos.
From its port boats depart for a visit to the nearest interesting marine caves (grottoes)situated along the coast.
Starting from our property you can visit many historical towns and charming villages in the surrounding areas such as Otranto, Gallipoli and Lecce.

The trullo staxs over the "Maldive del Salento", a very long beach with fine sand and a trasparent blue water, ideal also for children. But there are also rocky beaches in the surroundings.
Pescoluse has beach cafés, bars and some small shops. There are supermarkets in Salve, about 1.5km away, and in Presicce about 5km away, as well as pharmacies, banks, a post office, cafés, restaurants and other shops. The nearest seaside town Torre Vado about 3km has a pharmacy, small grocery shops and a fishmonger. The olive groves start behind the beaches on the gently hills, which also provide good opportunities to go hiking and cycling. Small villages often have a centre with little architectural gems. It is recommended to visit Santa Maria di Leuca with its old villas (13km), Gallipoli (La Bella – The Beautiful, 40km), the baroque town of Lecce (68km) and Otranto (54km). Salento, also called the heel of Italy, is a subregion of Italy in the southern part of Puglia, between the Ionian Sea in the west and the Adriatic Sea in the east. The locals in this area differ from the rest of the Puglia region owing to cultural and linguistic differences. From a historical perspective, Salento belonged for several centuries to the old Terra d’Otranto and it has a special landscape, architecture and gastronomy. Salento is of course ideal for a seaside holiday during the long summer, but it provides much more besides and not only in summer.
