The chalet is half of a semi-detached house and is divided over a ground floor, a first floor and a loft. The chalet has 6 permanent sleeping places.

Our house has on the ground floor the hall with toilet, a spacious living room, a luxury kitchen with a dishwasher and 4-burner ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer.
The living room has a cozy wood-burning stove and the television supplies almost all European channels.
Through the patio doors you reach the south-facing backyard. A gazebo with patio heating and an outdoor barbecue guarantee an evening full of relaxation and romance.

On the first floor is the landing with entrance to the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. There is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom with balcony overlooking the Carnic Alps and the Dolomites.
In the bathroom there is also a washing and drying machine at your disposal.

From the landing you reach the loft. This cozy loft has a double bed.

There is a lot to experience in the vicinity of Kötschach-Mauthen. Here is a small list, but in our house you will find many brochures.

Italy – The Plöcken Pass begins in Mauthen. A drive over the beautiful pass takes you over the Dolomites to the province of Friuli in Italy. This province is known for its culinary wine (and food) area. Here you will find beautiful wine castles with very nice wines. The large shopping city of Udine can be reached within an hour by car. The Italian Adriatic coast is approximately an hour and 45 minutes drive.

Golf – For the golf enthusiast, there are various possibilities in the area, including the Dolomites golf in Lienz with its beautiful 27 holes! A pleasure to play there.

Grossglockner – The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is one of the most beautiful roads in Austria. A mountain road that you should definitely drive once in your life. You drive up in 36 hairpin bends, a phenomenal road with beautiful viewpoints. The Grossglockner High Alpine Road starts in the village of Bruck and ends 48 kilometers away in Heiligenblut (a very charming place by the way). The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is named after the mountain Grossglockner, at 3,798 meters it is the highest mountain in Austria.

Lienz – Lienz still has an authentic Old Town where cozy shops and terraces alternate. You will also find the 2.7 km long toboggan run here, which you should not deprive your children of.

Kötschach-Mauthen, located between the Gailtaler and the Carnic Alps, is located in the south of the Austrian province of Carinthia. This province is known for its beautiful nature with beautiful lakes, elongated mountain ranges and historical sights.

Kötschach-Mauthen is particularly conveniently located at the intersection of Plöckenpass Straße and Gailtal Straße. The Plöckenpass Straße connects Kötschach-Mauthen with Oberdrauburg (Lienz) in the north and with the Plöckenpass on the border with Italy in the south.

The Gailtal Straße, which actually follows the Gailtal, connects the beautiful Lesachtal on the west side with Hermagor (Villach) on the east side.
