While enjoying your breakfast, you can see the Jebel Musa Mountain on the African coast. It is supposed to be the second Pillar of Hercules. When Hercules had to perform twelve labours, one of them was to fetch the Cattle of Geryon and bring it to Eurystheus. On his way to the island of Erytheia he had to cross the mountain that was once Atlas. Instead of climbing the great mountain, Hercules split it in half using his indestructible mace. By doing so, he connected the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea and formed the Strait of Gibraltar. One part of the split mountain is currently called Gibraltar and the other is, supposedly, Jebel Musa. These two mountains taken together were since then known as the Pillars of Hercules.

The views out to the Street of Gibraltar with the Jebel Musa on the background make the location of this villa a special place. The villa is set within the residential area of "El Cuartón", located within the municipality of Tarifa. The famous white beaches and the town centre (7 km) are less then 10 minutes drive from here. There is a good restaurant at 2 minutes walk (Mesón de Sancho) for those who don't want to drink and drive. The house is south-facing, set on a 2250m2 plot and surrounded by a lawned garden with private pool (sized 8 x 4m / deep 1m - 1.5m). From the living room, doors open onto the terrace with the impressive views we just spoke about. It's the ideal spot for outside dining. Sun loungers, patio furniture and a barbecue are provided. On clear nights you can dream away by views on the lights of the port of Tangiers and Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on the northern tip of Africa.

Tarifa is famous in the world as "wind capital" so here you can find the best beaches for kitesurfing and windsurfing (more than 25 schools for learning kitesurfing).
