Situated just half a mile from the popular tourist town of Huelgoat with its beautiful lake and magnificent Forest of Legends. A wonderful area for lovers of nature where walking, cycling and riding are among the popular activities.

The Gite is surrounded by our own land with our pet goats, chickens and ducks.

The Gite is very spacious and sleeps two people. There is a comfortable lounge with 3 piece suite, footstool, satellite TV, games and books.

We also offer Wifi connection.

The open plan kitchen is well equipped with ample crockery and cutlery and contains a full size electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer.

There is a beautiful shower room with large modern multi-jet shower cabinet, basin and WC which is adjacent to the large double bedroom, the bedroom has a 5ft king size bed.

Our price is inclusive of bedlinen, towels and electricity plus central heating according to season.

The Gite is situated on the D764A just half a mile west of Huelgoat and is attached to the rear of the English owners property.

Huelgoat offers the most characteristic scenery of inland Brittany, it lies on the edge of a 15 hectare lake and a forest of 600 hectares. Within the forest are dramatic, gigantic granite boulders including la Roche Tremblante (The Trembling Rock weighing 100 tonnes), la Champignon (The Mushroom), la Grotte du Diable (The Devils' Cave) and la Grotte d'Artus (Arthur's Cave) a natural shelter formed under a roof of jammed rocks, associated with the Arthurian Legend. On the outskirts of the town is the Arboretum du Poerop which has trees and plants from four continents and makes a lovely way to spend a few hours.

The location of Huelgoat gives easy access to both the north, south and west coasts of Brittany where many magnificent beaches can be discovered. There is an outdoor swimming pool just 200 yards from the property which is open July and August and also a swimming lake approx. ten miles away as well as lakes and rivers for fishing close by.

The beautiful and historic town of Morlaix is just 20 miles to the north, the cathedral city of Quimper a little further to the south west makes a wonderful day trip. Closer by is Carhaix set on the Nantes-Brest canal and as well as a large indoor swimming pool it has an excellent equestrian centre among its many attractions.

Huelgoat offers a good selection of shops including a supermarket, pharmacies, newsagent, patisserie/boulangerie and in addition there is a traditional market held in the main square every Thursday morning.
