Casa das Rochas, "rochas" means rocks in Portuguese - the house of rocks got its name from the existing rocks that the inspired owner found and integrated into the holiday home. Behind one of these rocks is a lounger for relaxing or a popular children's bed.

Casa das Rochas is a house on two levels, separated only by three shallow steps.
On the upper level there is a "rock bed" that is more suitable for children, as well as a pull-out sofa bed, a table and an open fireplace.
On the lower level there is a double bed with mosquito net and the adjoining marble bathroom.
The adjoining conservatory with a small dining area leads to the separate, colourful and fully equipped kitchen and BBQ.
An additional outdoor shower in the garden, with views across the countryside to the sea, completes the enjoyment of a holiday in the heart of nature. If you follow the stairs that lead to the upper part of the garden, you can see almost as far as Spain from a sculpture on a clear day or watch the stars.
The house is a joy to live in thanks to its vibrant colours and uncomplicated handling.
The outdoor shower behind the house is particularly popular in summer and the barbecue area near the kitchen is a favourite spot for preparing the fresh fish bought at the market in the morning.
It is a quiet, private place to relax, read and unwind.
People like to use the beautiful paths to the pool to refresh themselves or play boules.

There are many places of interest nearby, such as the charming and well-preserved Renaissance town of Tavira, known as the Pearl of the Algarve, or the lively Arab-style fishing village of Olhao and, of course, the sea with its wide beaches.

Quinta da Arte which is the name of our Quinta/Finca and which is located approximately
10 km from the clean and tamed Atlantic Ocean of the Eastern Algarve, the tastefully restored Renaissance town of Tavira, which is one of the most beautiful towns in the Algarve and only 3km from the nearest small village of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo.
We are rening 4 holidays houses/ cottages like Casa das Rochas-Casa do Teatro-Atelier-Studio and the Pavilhao da Arte.
The property is surrounded by nature, with olive, carob and orange tree plantations and the sea glistening on the horizon.
Quinta da Arte is located in the Sotavento, the south-east facing Algarve coast, a coastal landscape with kilometres of sandy beaches and sandbanks, where small fishing boats bring people to the beaches. A small railway takes you directly to Barril beach, about 10 km away
The nearest shopping centre is in the small village of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, approx. 3 km away.
Here there is a small local market with fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat as well as cafes, a restaurant and a pharmacy.
Cosy, local restaurants are close by and are sure to provide a tasty experience with their cuisine.
The charming 150-year-old Renaissance town of Tavira is only 9 kilometres away and can be reached via beautiful country roads.
Faro, the airport city with a well-preserved and old centre, with beautiful old streets and churches, is only 20 km away. You can reach us in 30 minutes by hire car.
The most beautiful golf courses in Europe, such as Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobe, are only 45 minutes away by car.
Seville can be reached in 2 hours by car and is well worth a visit.
