Casamapun is located at the upper end of a small hamlet, near a forest of ash, oak, chestnut, acacia, and wild hazel trees.
The property comprises three double bedrooms with bathrooms (with the option of adding an extra bed), one of which is wheelchair accessible, as is the kitchen and large living room.
The other two bedrooms, with private bathrooms, are located on the first floor and are accessible via an external staircase.
The house also features a large multipurpose room (bookable separately), suitable for parties, meetings, and training courses.
A bicycle shed with e-bike charging, a covered space, parking, and a large accessible green space are also available around the house.

CULTURE
Rocca Canavese is located at the western edge of the Canavese region, bordering Turin.
To the west lies the Lanzo area, with its magnificent, towering, rugged mountains that connect Mount Rocciamelone with the Gran Paradiso.

To the east, it overlooks the Canavese region and the moraines of Ivrea, the gateway to the Aosta Valley. To the south, beyond Caselle Airport, lies Turin with its highly visible hills.

Being at the center of a large foothill area, it is close to many places that over the centuries have benefited from the mountain economy and the routes connecting it to neighboring France: castles, palaces, and villages dot the plains of this corner of Piedmont. The region's food and wine traditions and crafts are also rich, such as the famous ceramic stoves of Castellamonte (like ours!!!).

ROCCA CANAVESE. The medieval village and the Chapel of Santa Croce

LANZO TORINESE (15 km). The medieval village, religious centers, and the Devil's Bridge (and cheeses!)

TURIN (35 km). The pearl of the Baroque with its palaces, rivers, and important museums (Egyptian Museum, Cinema Museum)

THE CASTLES OF THE AOSTA VALLEY (55 km: Forte di Bard). Fortresses and castles in a splendid Alpine setting

NATURE
The area, once predominantly agricultural, has recently seen a significant development in sports activities, from simple walks and cycling excursions to archery and paragliding.
Numerous associations promote events and are available to those who want to try new activities (see contact page for details).

The characteristic abandonment of these places has paradoxically favored the preservation of the natural environment: little by little, the vineyards and orchards have been reclaimed by the forest, populated by squirrels, roe deer, foxes, badgers... It's not uncommon to encounter salamanders and toads near the streams. On June evenings, fireflies create a luminous spectacle unfamiliar to city dwellers, and the songs of various species of birds provide a unique backdrop to the sound.
Small-scale local agriculture is still alive and well, though not commercial, and constitutes a network of exchange and interaction among residents: fruit, vegetables, honey, oil, and advice, tools, traditional secrets, and family recipes are exchanged.

THE HOUSE
The house comprises:
* A fully equipped shared kitchen, available to all guests
*Three double bedrooms with private bathrooms, with the option of an additional bed (the ground-floor bedroom, with bathroom, is accessible to guests with disabilities)
*A multipurpose room with its own bathroom (accessible to guests with disabilities) equipped with a blackboard, chalk, and a digital board, as well as a piano
*A bicycle shed with e-bike charging station
*A large, accessible green space surrounding the property, with plenty of space for walks (vineyard, olive grove, fruit trees)
*A covered area for outdoor dining in any situation, with a wood-fired oven
*Parking
It is the last house at the end of a small hamlet, at the edge of the woods and accessible via a very short private road.

The Rooms

THE ROOMS
The rooms at Casamapun are spacious and bright, and each has a private bathroom.
The yellow room is located on the ground floor and is fully equipped for wheelchair users.
The green and orange rooms are located on the first floor and are accessible via a large and comfortable external staircase.

Despite their completely renovated furnishings, the rooms have retained the characteristics of a country house: the ceilings are vaulted brick, and the floors of the first-floor rooms are made of local terracotta, cleaned and repainted. Depending on the guests' preferences and needs, the rooms can be configured as double or twin beds. A single bed can be added to each room at a very reasonable cost.

The rooms are equipped with radiator heating, with customizable temperatures. It was not necessary to install air conditioning, as each room has an opening to the rear of the house, allowing fresh air to circulate when needed.

BATHROOMS

The bathrooms are spacious and completely renovated. The bathroom in the ground-floor room is accessible to guests with mobility impairments.
Each room has a private bathroom.
Next to the meeting/conference room (if available) is a fourth bathroom, accessible to guests with mobility impairments.

The kitchen
is the meeting place for the people who live in Casamapun.
The kitchen has space for informational materials about the area, some typical local products available to guests, and a place to enjoy breakfast or meals independently.


THE HALL
The hall is a large space, renovated in a rustic style while maintaining the original stone, brick, and wood features.
It was designed for multipurpose use and can be adapted as a meeting and conference room, workshop space, study room, large dining room, or a venue for parties and ceremonies.
It can easily accommodate 25 people.
It is equipped with a chalkboard, a 65" digital board, a piano, recessed floor outlets, tables and chairs, rugs, and cushions.
It is enhanced by a beautiful ceramic wood-burning stove, produced in the nearby and famous Castellamonte, which can be used freely by groups who have access to the hall.
The hall is equipped with a piano, an electronic whiteboard with internet connection, and a slate chalkboard.
